dumb question

got a blazer from a friend and was wondering what the two D's (it shows park, reverse, neutral, letter d with a circle around it, and then another d) wonderin if the d with the circle around it is overdrive

OD == Over Drive aka 4th gear which is a 0.7:1 gear ratio
D == Drive aka 3rd gear which is a 1:1 gear ratio
2 == 2nd gear which is a 1.75:1 gear ratio
1 == 1st gear which is a 3.06:1 gear ratio

Always drive in OD unless you find that the transmission is constantly downshifting and then upshifting in short order.

Kyle do you have the gear ratios for the NP233 t-case? Just trying to figure out a final drive ratio in 4lo vs 4hi

Low range carries a 2.72:1 gear ratio in the transfer case for the NV233.

There are several good gear ratio calculators out there. THIS ONE just popped up first on a google search.
