The e-brake cable goes from the cab to the rear axle. How to replace it depends on what it is you are driving (year, model, options, etc) and what part of the system is prompting this question.

Well, lets start with what prompted you to look into the e-brake system. Is it not working? When you push the pedal is there resistance or does it just go to the floor?

You could try some WD40 in each of the cables where the cable goes into the sheath...

Where is the cable 'fat' as you state? At the wheel or where it goes up through the floor board on the driver's side? Is it only one wheel that is being problematic?

well, i didnt look at it closely, and its not only 1 wheel..and i have one of the cables and its fat, i dont know which 1 it is exactly..im also trying to figure it out if there are 2 cables tht make up the brake cable, which looks like so because the fat one that i have is too short to be one long one..

I believe that you have 3 brake cables. The front cable goes from the brake pedal through the floor to a connector. Then the left rear cable connects to the front cable. The right rear cable connects to the left rear cable by a connector that looks like this in the pic.
It would be a good idea if you jacked the truck up, put the back on jackstands, put the parking brake on and see if you can turn the rear wheels by hand. Then release the park brake and try to turn the wheels by hand to see if one or both rear brakes is stuck on.
