Unhappy Electrical Issue

Ok we have a 99 Chevy Blazer. As of late there have been moments it wont start. My husband will go between the battery and moduel and wiggle some wires and the truck starts. If you dont wiggle these unknown wires there is no juice to the truck at all, no lights, radio nothing. Now this is not working. So I need to know where or what these wires might be so that I can get this vehicle going. Any help would be great. Please email at Doyleb4@gmail if you know anything that might help get this problem solved since no one around our area seems to have a clue.
THANKS

The wires run to the box right behind the battery.

The picture doesn't work, but it sounds like a bad connection to what I assume is the ECU. The box on the passenger side fender well?

yeah i cant get the pic to upload with out it doing that. But we were told its something to do with the PCM which was checked and is fine, connectors and wires replaced. It started and ran for about 20 miles then once shut off now wont start again. The alt and starter are brand new and working fine. This time when trying to start it the interior lights radio and that worked but the truck wouldnt turn over.

If wiggling the wires at the PCM (which is what is pictured) allows it to start, then you have a wiring problem somewhere near the PCM. Wiring problems like this can be a royal pain to figure out as it normally involves pulling the connections at either end and testing continuity on all of the wires involved while moving the harness.

Please try to get a picture of the exact harness and location where you wiggle it to allow the vehicle to start. If need be, upload the picture to an online photo host such as Picasa, Photobucket, ImageShack, etc and post a link to the picture in this thread.

There has to be a short somewhere I have had 3 guys look at this truck, The PCM is good, wired changed and good. They get it running soon as they shut it off it wont start again. Im beginning to think setting this thing on fire would be a better bet!

You could go to a junk yard and get the harnesses you need and switch them out. Being intermittent is sometimes hard to find and also can be affected by temperature, hot, cold, and humidity in some cases . Should be inexpensive to get. Probably find somone on CL that is parting one out you could rob. Good luck

Im guessing you have loose terminal connection in your plugs to the ecm or maybe a broken /pinched wire gointo it.Take a good look at all your connections going to it,also make sure the plugs are pressed in firmly all the way till the terminals snap the locks into place.
