Default Electrical Problem

I purchased a 2003 BLAZER LS 6 months ago to be used in the Michigan winters. I replaced the battery just after I bought the vehicle. Within 2 days of driving, the battery goes dead. So anytime I don't drive it for a couple of days, I have to jump start it. I can't find any lights that are staying on, or anything else that could possibly be running to cause the battery to run down. Is there anyone out there who has experienced this problem? Suggestions?

Anyone who's had older vehicles for any length of time has had this problem. Are there any other problems having to do with power or starting?

Does your dash have a voltmeter? What does it read when you are driving? Was your check battery or little battery icon on?

Do you have a voltmeter? Or vehicle test light? 12v test light are under ten dollars and easier to use and understand.
When installed the new battery and you connected the second battery lead, were there sparks?

You will need to get a DC amp meter to put inline with the battery cable. This shows the current draw out of the battery. Then you will be able to pull fuses out to find which circuit is drawing the current....and then you will have an idea as to where to start searching.

A cheap DMM from Harbor Freight will work...think they run about $5 or so.

Easy to set-up and use. Just ask.
