Engine bogging down
Every now and then my blazer (2000 ZR2) will not like to get up and go. It seems to do it when taking off from a stop. I will hit the gas and it will very slowly go then once it hits a certain point (rpm) it will take off. Then it does just fine. It only does this every know and then not to often.
It will also do this at high speeds sometimes. When i get on interstate the truck will not want to go much over 70mph i try to pass and it has nothing but most of the time it does great and i have all the power needed. Generally when i get this problem i pull over and turn the truck off and start it again and it will run right. Makes me think its a computer problem maybe?
I'm very lost at what could cause this. Is the throttle controlled by the computer? i know with the new canyons they tend to not get up and go since the computer actually tells the throttle to open and if it doesn't think you need to it wont punch it.

I have never changed the trans filter or fluids. It doesn't happen very often at all which doesn't make me think its a tranny problem. I have had issues with it starting on a long road trip in 110 degree weather. I believe that was a fuel pump issue. Havent had a starting problem since last summer when it was hot. Just odd that it will start out slow then take off. It doesn't have a problem down shifting or anything.
