Default Firewall

for the last week or so i have had the lower part of the dash below the steering wheel off looking for a spot to make a hole for auxiliary lighting. i can't find anything with all the stuff in the cab and outside by the engine area.
has someone found a good spot to drill thru the firewall?
i have the center console which i don't wish to take apart and turn this into a project from h...
maybe i can get some input from different members about how they tackled this situation......................................... .....

My 90 fullsize was the same way. I just ran a wire through one of the exsisting bunches of wires. Just use a piece of coat hanger and shove it through. Tire your wire and pull it through. But if your trying to use like a 4 gauge wire then yea you gotta drill

You've got to be careful not to nick wires with the coat hanger, but that would work.

Don't be afraid to use the search function here man.. The Audio/Visual section is riddled with posts on this exact topic.
