Engine knock sound
Hello everybody,
I have serious problem in my 00 gmc jimmy. When I start the car there is high knocking sound and if I increase the speed or rpm the sound become louder and the oil pressure bouncing on the middle and there is oil leaking from the center bottom of timing cover.
The car odometer 375,429 KM
Anyone was having same issue before ?
Thank you

A cracked flexplate will make noise when the load on the drivetrain is low and/or changes quickly (in neutral/park, you quickly let off the throttle while driving, etc.). Typically, a cracked flexplate would quiet down under acceleration as the load would close the crack.
If your observations are made in park/neutral, then it may be possible that the flexplate is the culprit.
I'm not sure what you are referring to about the oil pressure bouncing. Perhaps you could elaborate a bit more on that point?
