Default Engine missfire

I have a 95 4WD LT. and last week the check engine lite came on. Engine etc running fine. Had my neighbor who is a GM service manager run the code and it came up cylinder 6 miss fire. That's the one close to the firewall pass side. He cleared the code. I Did a full tune up 8 months / 6200 miles ago. Yes I used AC Delco plugs, wires, cap and rotor from dealer, so it's not a tune up. Now the truck is at school with my daughter 200 miles away and she said the check eng lite came on. I'm assuming the same code is going to come up when it's checked. Local Auto Zone doesn't have the scanner to do a 95. My neighbor is away for a week and other than pulling the plug and making sure it's looking fine should I be concerned that it's a lower engine issue? Worried about my daughter driving this thing back home in 2 weeks.
