I just tuned up my blazer because it was misfiring badly from first to second gear. I changed the cap and rotor on the distributor, the spark plugs, and the spark plug wires. Now when I start it up it sounds absolutely awful. I'm afraid to drive it around the block without it blowing up. I might have yanked on a wire too hard when i was doing the distributor cap, but i'm not sure. here's a picture. Any ideas what I yanked on? Is this the reason my engine is running terrible? Please help. I just wanted to make it run better

 

Check the routing of your plug wires in the cap. Very easy to mix up cylinders #1 & #3:

 

Yeah that was totally the problem. Thanks for the diagram. Any idea what cord I pulled out? I think it might have been to the heater vents because they stopped working. Any idea how to reconnect it?

 

Follow the hose to the other end and take a picture. Can't tell squat by that picture
