Excessive Vibration
I just bought a 1996 blazer with 120K on it for $1,700.
it vibrates pretty bad when taking off from a stand still and I hit the gas then let off and did it a few more times while on the interstate and could hear a clunking noise.
so, I figure it is the u-joints.
does this sound like that to you?
would this cause vibration when taking off from a standstill?
or (god forbid) do these trucks have rear end issues?

That could be a number of things aside from u joints. Bad front hub assemblies, brakes, loss of wheel weights.
Where does the vibration seem to come from?
Does it seem to be engine or drive train?
A clunking noise, from where?
Do you feel it in either peddle?

I just put it in park/reverse/drive and it "clunks" so I'm almost positive that's the issue.
its coming from the back/middle of the truck. are they hard to install? take off/put on is all right?
driving 65 perfect/no issues. just when I take off from a stop.
when I start it up, it seems to shake a bit (motor mounts)?
