Default Fist timer using this set up

Computer that came with what I'm told is a V6 vortec 4.3 out of a 95 blazer 4x4

Please disregard the light controller on front of it --

I decided to try a stock Chevy blazer 4x4 eng and trans and build a rock crawler with it utilizing a carcass of a Toyota forerunner-

Inner and outer roll cages- 2 transfer cases - air locker on a Dana 44 in front with a 3 link suspension riding on FOX airshocks gives it just about 40 inches of travel

Stock V6 with stock exhaust manifolds and a straight pipe exhaust - intake is a rendition of a cool flowing inlet - mostly up top and centered to eliminate as much dust as possible !.

Here is my question - upon fire-up - computer seems to be learning every single time - hot or cold when I start it up - she revs real high then tries to settle to idle - almost died then high revs again and then settles - almost dies- then again - does this 4 times - so embarrassing - then settles down and idles perfectly and I have no other complaints - TILL I SHUT IT OFF AND HAVE TO START IT AGAIN !!!!
- I was told by the guy that helped me map this that 1 wire was left unhooked to bat positive or it would drain my battery in storage - I seem to remember him saying it was the wire for memory ?? - it's been too long now and I just finished this toy - can anyone help me here???

I can't help much with your question, but just wanted to comment that you have a pretty cool vehicle there.
