Default Flasher always ticking

I noticed my flasher ticks by itself alot more often when it gets cold out. but somehow when i apply the brakes it stops.

playing with the signal lever dosent change what it does, just ticks constantly and stops when you touch the brake pedal.

Very common problem. Try messing with your hazard switch to see if it stops. If it doesn't, try replacing just the hazard switch per the DIY articles in the Tech Article (DIY) section (see index link in my sig). If that still doesn't work, the whole multifunction switch is at fault.

One thing you may want to do first is check with the GM dealer to see if the recall applies to your VIN. If it does, let them fix it!
