Default Forced Ignition Lock Cylinder

On January 14th someone broke into my 1997 4X4 blazer threw my rear quarter glass on the passenger side, then they broke the top cover on my steering column breaking my hazard switch, then forced the igniton lock cylinder to start my blazer, They didn't get to far only about 20 feet, so getting to what I need to ask, I know I need to replace the ignition switch, ignition lock cylinder and I'm going to do the multi function switch because I replaced it before with one from a wreckers to get it on the road when I first bought it 5 years ago. So my question is is this all I need? would I need to replace the ignition lock cylinder housing as well do to internal damage? or would it be fine?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance

I would recommend picking up an entire steering column from a junkyard and giving that a go. If there is damage to the column around the lock cylinder, it'll be easier to just swap the whole column.

Thank you Swartlkk for a fast reply, I went threw the igniton lock cylinder removal last night before posting and it came out with no problems, I didn't have enuff light to look into the opening to see any damage will check today after work tho, I'm hoping that the damage is just to the lock cylinder it self, will post back with what I find thanks again

Hello again, sorry for the late reply I've had a few busy weeks and never had the chance to look at my Blazer in that time, but I was finally ably to check out the igniton lock cylinder housing, and saw a tiny bit of metal shavings which I believe are from a thin keyway like part of the lock cylinder, So i guess I'll find out once i start taking it all a part for sure

Well all is well with my Blazer now, back on the road running better then ever, igniton lock cylinder housing was fine, replaced the ignition switch, ignition lock cylinder, hazard switch and the quarter glass only to find that the starter was burned out, replaced it and charged the battery, the total costs for repairs only $380 so thanks everyone for all of the help it was greatly appreciated
