Default Front driveshaft removal

I'm in the process of replacing the transfer case input seal. I have a 2003 4dr with a NP233C. I have unbolted the front U joint and pulled it free if the yoke. My problem is the shaft won't pull free of the TC, it pulls cars are a little then stops suddenly like it has a retaining clip. Is the a clip that I need to remove?

Got it out, a block of wood and a big hammer and it came right out.

just a stupid tip when smacking that thing back in make sure the retaining clip gap is facing downward, just makes it a bit easier
