Default Front end squat

I just replaced my shocks on the front because they were bad with some KYB GR-2 due to budget restriction, on my 97 blazer and it still seems to be squatting the same amount. What is the problem and what can I do to resolve it? I also changed out the sway bar bushings.

Need more info on your truck...is it 4wd? If so the torsion bars are sagging, you can crank them up a bit but the problem will come back and new torsion bars are quite pricey! They are the thick bars that run from your lower control arm to a crossmember a few feet behind them. To crank them you jack up your truck, support it on stands, and turn the bolt clockwise a little at a time...I believe 1 full turn gives you 1/4" of lift. Beware though anything higher then stock and you put more wear on your balljoints and axles. Your upper control arm should be pretty much level at stock height.

Shocks are not a factor in ride height, it's all suspension. Can you post a good pic showing how much lower the front end is?

I will get a pic of the truck and yes it is 4WD. The part that sucks is I have pretty much replaced all of the front end; I just had the upper and lower ball joints, pitman arm and a whole bunch of other stuff replaced.

here are the pics, you can see the squat pretty good. I see a lot of other blazers around me and they don't have nearly as much squat.

+1 Check how many threads you have left on the bolt to raise the torsion bar you could lift it back up maybe but the problem will eventually return.

Oh and a good mechanic should probably have let you know about the torsion bars being that bad before spending mucho denaro on the rest of your front end parts. Maybe consider a new one next time!
