Default Front End Wandering

I'm having trouble with the front end wanting to wander. Hit a small bump in the road and the Blazer wants to drift off. Pretty hard to drive it most all the time. I haven't had it but a few months. 246,000+ miles. Don't have a good history of the vehicle. I have replaced the front wheel bearings and the rotors and had to replace pass. side stabilizer bar/control arm link that was totally missing when i bought it. I jacked it up and tried wiggling the tires up and down - back and forth. Not really much play from what I've observed before on other vehicles. Where is all the play most likely coming from? I swear this thing makes me think a piece of the front end is going to come flying off the front end when I'm headed down the interstate. Hope someone can give me a clue on this.

If you're sure you're not getting any play in the front suspension components, then you need to check the steering coupler (aka rag joint). If that's ok, then it's probably your steering box. My Jimmy has 170k and there's a little play in the steering box. Your Blazer has 74k more miles than mine, so it could very well be it's just worn out. It happens.

Replace your shocks. You'd be suprised how it will clear up your wandering front end.
