I went to spray my windshield today and got a whole lot of nothing. The wipers activate like they should, I am just not getting any spray. I checked the lines for clogs, and filled up the reservoir, but still got nothing. I opened up the hood, and could not hear the front pump turn on when I press the button in on the end of the multi-function switch. The rear works like it should, but the front does nothing. I checked the fuse, and its good. I replaced the pump but it still does nothing. Where do I go from here...is it the switch or possibly the wiper motor?

 

Has nothing to do with the wiper motor. both pumps use the same plug. You could try switching the plugs and see if you can at least get the motor to spray usingthe rear sprayer switch. That way you can at least isolate the issue. If it still doesn't work. then it's a wiring issue, dirty or broken contact. that'll be tough to find.

 

You were right, it was a wiring issue. I came across it by pure luck. As I was backprobing the #2 terminal from the washer motor (which supplies power to the front pump) the pump came on. I guess the terminal wire had loosened up a bit and wasn't making contact with the pin anymore. With the tip of the test light in there, things tightened up and it worked.
