fuel feed line, fuel filter, or fuel pump?
what's up fellas, quick question for ya. My blazer will only start after I: 1. turn the engine to run, 2. let the pump prime, 3. crank it, 4. back to off, and 5. repeat at least five times. Changed the fuel filter about 25k back, noticed then that the fuel feeder line between the tank and filter was looking bad, it looks terrible now. It's looking super rusty and flaky especially where the bend is made in the line. I haven't changed the filter or checked the fuel pressure yet. Anybody have input?

what are you driving ? a fuel pressure test is the way to go to find the problem
If the line aint leaking its normal for these lines to rust like that but later on it might have to be replaced

+1. Sounds like multiple primes are needed to get pressure within acceptable limits. Go through the following diagnosis, and report your findings

EDIT: based on your username, you may have a 95. Either way, you still need to check the pressure.

It's a 95 2 door 4.3, sorry for not being more specific.

As stated, you need to perform a fuel pressure test. The same pressures apply on the older CPI engines as they do for the newer SCFI engines that the tech article details.

The CPI engines are notorious for FPR failures. A close second is bad fuel pumps. After that, clogged injectors and a bad injector wiring harness internal to the intake round out the common failures.
