I've had my truck for over 2 years now[95 chevy blazer v-6], and have made numerous repairs (and even a new motor). Thing is, I've never replaced the fuel filter. What are the signs of a bad fuel filter???

Signs of a bad fuel filter : being 2 years old
: stalling, hard start.
If it's 2 years old, change it, this will help tokeep the injectors clean and prolong your fuel pump life.
When you change it, shake the fuel out through a white cloth and check the colour on the cloth. Black on the cloth is an indication of fuel pump wear. (worn brushes.)

I bought a new Fram fuel filter the other night for my blazer. It has NEVER been changed since I bought it 10 years ago (It is also a 95). I was wondering the same thing about what are the warning signs that it needs to be changed. I guess I'll go ahead and take care of it tomorrow and be done with it.

Usually you would change it about every 30,000 miles if you are into keeping up maintence. Really its something that you do as prevenitive maintence or to try and get better gas mileage. If your blazer is idling rough and you narrow it down to a fuel thing, this is the cheapest fuel system part to replace. If your gas mileage is going down this could be another thing that would allow for the vehicle to get better gas mileage.
EDIT: Check out my how to change the fuel filter in the how to section if you are looking for help on how to do it and what tools you'll need. Of course the Gen I Blazers may be slightly different than my 98 Gen II blazer. But the basic idea is the same.
