fuel guge goes whacky

Default fuel guge goes whacky
when i fill up my 96 blazer after about 100 to 150 miles on the full tank my fuel guage will all the way to E then float around at half hang out there for a while then go back to what it should. just wandering if this sort of weird thing has happened to anyone else or if any one has any advice

fairly common...

use the search funtion. commonly the sending unit.
