Last week I noticed a fuel smell at the front of my 96 blazer ls 4wd. I read on here a few things but decided to take it to my mechanic instead. He tells me that I have a fuel leak - I had no clue because it wasnt dripping. After taking it to him the dripping has started. How hard is it to change the fuel line running from the filter up to the throttle body??

Hmmmm...... I have never changed the fuel line up at the front, have replaced the fuel filter, tank and pump. Underneath your Blazer on the drivers side I believe running along the bottom, you should see the fuel filter. Try tracing it back up towards the motor to find the leak. Hope that helps, it shouldnt be that hard to fix, but I have said that before about mine, and spent several hours cursing GM

Are you certain it's leaking in the front? It's very common for the fuel line to rust out in the back over the rear drivers-side wheel. It's at the right age to have that happen. That one line, which goes from the fuel filter to the plastic fuel pump line, costs $90 from the dealer. [:@]At least it was for mine, which is a 2-door.
