Soooooooooooooooooooo, it appears that a brand new AC Delco fuel pump lasted a 1/2 hour and has died.. hmmmmm. This really blows monkey chunks. Has voltage everywhere it`s supposed to , but pump no run. Why do these NEW style pumps not have a filter bag at the bottom of the pump like the old ones did? I`m also thinking about having a drain system put in the tank on the bottom for future drainage, kinda like the race cars have..

Make sure both (black) ground wires at the module connector show less than 5 ohms to ground. No sock on the pump?? Hmmmmm I'd really question if you have a genuine AC Delco or Delphi pump, they all come with the filter on the bottom of the module. Did you by chance get it online? Ebay...Amazon?

Pump is def AC Delco, it was ordered by my brothers friend from a chevy dealer, the part # is #MU1755 it was ordered according to my Vin # Says AC Delco right on it and on the box.. The whole design of the pump was diff from the old one, no more filter on the bottom, there is an extra clar tube on the pump, and it only has 2 legs ( poles) on it now instead of 3... plus it had that new wire harness that needed to be changed. What is your email address i`ll send ya pics of the parts so you can see what i`m talking about with the differences. I also could`nt believe how clean the inside of the plenum was the other day when i did the spider assy, and there was no signs of fuel leakage anywhere in there, I`ll send all the pics to ya.

The last diagnosis to fix it and get it running turned out to be a lousy freakin ground wire, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, lol So at 112,000 miles i now have a Ac Delco fuel pump, a New AC Delco spider injector assy, I replaced the thermo again while i was in there, I found a bad vacuum hose that was collapsed also. I can`t believe how well the truck runs now, Much quicker throttle response, starts right up no stuttering or choking, I`m gonna prob change out the plugs again soon just to be safe . I`ll try and post some pics of the eng while apart and then after i painted some parts and put it back together.
