Fuel Pressure Question
The book that I have says that the fuel pressure should read 55 to 61 psi with the key turned to on and the engine not running. Should the pressurehold steady, or should it drop as soon as the fuel pump stops?
Thanx!!

RE: Fuel Pressure Question
When you turn off the key, there should not be more than ~2-3 psi drop.

RE: Fuel Pressure Question
Thats what I thought. The pressure on mine drops quickly to zero as soon as the fuel pump stops.

Sounds like a bad fuel pressure regulator.

Thanks for your help Richard.
I also talked to a couple of friends last night that thought the FPR was bad as well.
Well, I'm not really looking forward to this one. Luckily I had to change the intake manifold gasket last winter, so I have a pretty decent idea of what I'm getting myself into. Hopefully the weather will cooperate this weekend and I can get this thing knocked out and the truck back on the road.

I just realized that you're from Ft. Worth, also, Todd. That makes 3 or 4 of us here neighbors.
