ive been tracing down a hesititon issue scince i bought my truck. during acceleration, intermitently it will lean out untill the pedal is let up then all is well. note i said intermitently. i have no codes, nothing out of the ordinary on the scanner. i have New cap, rotor, wires, plugs, fuel filter , air filter, fuel pump, lines, belt, idler pully, cleaned my intake and MAF. I put a fuel pressure gauge on yesterday and went for a LONG drive. and ofcourse only replicated my issue twice. durring KOEO pressure sits at 66. KOER pressure drops to 60. during acceleration my pressure rose as specified to 66. all was normal during easy crusing my pressure would drop to 58 or 56. free reving would do the same thing except it would sometimes go down to 54. NOW, durring my hesitation my pressure drops to 60 and the needle jummped and flutterd betweeen 60 and 62, untill released then all was normal again. could this be a sign of a bad FPR? a bad new pump? im stumped. i read through the fuel system diagnostic charts in the sticky and dont have the return line restriction valve it stated to use, so based on what i have here im hoping i can get an answer. sorry for the long post. thanks.
