Then there is something wrong with that pressure gauge. It should have the proper connection to open the valve.

It has the adapter to fit the threads but it wont push down the schrader valve, Now I found a washer with slit in it and I squeezed it together and put it in there and that pushed down the schrader valve but didnt screw down enough to seal the valve completely even with teflon tape! Any smaller it would go down the hose...

I guess I'll have to take a picture of my two pressure gauges. Both have the necessary configuration to both seal the connection & press the valve to open it. What I am telling you is that if it does not do both, there is something wrong with it.

Just an "FYI"....

Most auto parts stores sell replacement hoses for R12 air conditioning manifold sets. http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/web...69_T%7CGRP2001_____

The low side line uses the same fitting as the fuel pressure service port and the fitting has a barb on the crimped end. Pretty expensive way to do it though, it would be better to just buy a good quality fuel pressure tester.

yea mine was like $10 so I took the risk,

WARTURTLE, I do have a small schrader hose but it is to small for the fuel test port it is for like bike tires, the adaptor that does fit the fuel test port is just open inside it would not open the valve! I shoved something in there trying to ghetto rig it but it didnt really work! I think you misunderstood me!

Thanks tho both of u guys I will look at an r12 gauge or either remove my valve core or just buy one of those $30 acton gauges as they are the same price as buying the large schrader fuel pressure tester hose itself off amazon!

Thanks a lot guys! This really does help me!

For another $10 you can get a decent pressure tester. There's nothing wrong with the Actron, (other than it only goes to 100psi and max pump output is 108psi) Why bother fooling around?
