Default installing schrader valve on fuel line

Was looking to install a test port on my 1989 4.3 tbi. Tired of not being able to check the fuel pressure on it when I have a problem. I've got a couple ideas on how but was hoping I'm not the first with this idea and could get some feedback. Thanks in advance.

You can check it. It takes an adapter to go between the flexible line and the hard line at the throttle body, IIRC. Or you can test it at the fuel filter with the same type of adapter fitting.
