Default fuel pump electrical, maybe

Brand new delphi fuel pump
I crimped the new connector on
New battery
Its run since last fall

I was just driving the truck and when I hit a bump I noticed the battery light flicker, happened a few times, then I hit a bump and the light stayed on and the truck died.
Everything else works, turns over but no start, fuel gauge is showing empty also. Do you think one of my crimps came loose?
Tried starting fluid, no start
I know I can just go look, taking a break to think to think about and ask questions.

If it starts with starting fluid, the fuel delivery system is not working. Quite possible one of the crimp connectors corroded or pulled loose. Crimp connectors should never be used on a vehicle, especially on the exterior. Always use 60/40 lead/tin rosin core solder and heat shrink tubing to weatherproof the connection.

Update, fuel pump is coming on, just couldnt hear it alone. When we used starting fluid it kinda sputtered, not really starting. This morning we checked for a spark disconnecting one boot and put a plug in it resting on the frame in 2 different spots and no spark. Fuel gauge is showing empty still but I 80% positive I had a 1/4 tank. What could cause no spark and no fuel? All other electonics work

All set, ran a test on the ecm and it was getting no power. Looked in underhood fuseblock and ecm fuse was blown, replaced and fired right up. Now what caused that? Happened when hitting bumps so something is shorting somewhere. This should be fun.

Check your battery connections and also the connections on the alternator. If the battery light is coming on when hitting bumps, it is possible that those connections might be loose.

Yep, I did tighten them up. You guys think that fuse can just get old and blow. The truck is 14 years old

I could see it getting old and blowing. Having said that, I would keep a spare or two in the truck, in case the new one blows.

If the new one blows, then it's definitely time to find where it's shorting.
