Fuel Pump and repair shop advice
Hi all, I posted a thread a while back about a possible fuel pump problem, not starting intermittently with no sound of the pump running. So I took it to a local repair shop who has now had it for about three weeks and still can't find the problem. Now I'm not a mechanic but I am an engineer and know how cars work, I have neither the time, space or tools to fix anything but simple faults with any car. So is three weeks reasonable to sort out a fault of this sort, incidently the fault was permanent by the time I got it there ?
I ask this because before I got it the garage I got it from had it for about three weeks sorting out an ABS and then alternator fault. I know from experience that there is no problem sourcing and US auto parts here in the UK. I just wonder is there anything about these vehicles which cause so much greif to the repair shops, or are they just cowboys ?
