Default Which Fuel Pump Should I Use: 2000 Blazer

I'm putting in a new fuel pump assembly and I'm not sure what to buy. There are a lot of options out there. Autozone just sold me a E3954M for $300 but I'm taking it back as I can get it way cheaper online.

I want to buy something that will last and, if not, that will have a lifetime warranty.

Any suggestions?

If you're real lucky, an aftermarket fuel pump will work properly right out of the box, but don't hold your breath, that'll change very shortly. Stay away from aftermarket pumps, use AC Delco or Delphi ONLY! 2 door and 4 door pumps are different, so look up your application carefully. Be very cautious if you're buying from Amazon or Ebay, make sure it's genuine AC Delco or Delphi.

Thanks for your advice. I found one that fits my vehicle, and I don't think it's either AC Delco or Delphi, but I can't tell if it's aftermarket either. The price is comparatively attractive.

Nevermind. This site exclusively sells aftermarket stuff. Duh.

Fuel pump repair for a 1999 S10 4.3 vortec, and WHY THEY FAIL - YouTube

When you have the thing out this takes a half hour.

Be very genital with the float, spray some electronics cleaner on it. It is a rheostat also known as a variable resistor and is somewhat delicate. Looks like a coiled up spring. It controls ground resistance that your gas gage reads. If you screw it up you will need to take the cluster out and reset the pin on you fuel gage. Not a crisis but a PITA.

This is the guy I get my sh*t from.

Yes you cant go wrong with AC Delco or Delphi. Walbro and Carter are also good pumps.
I had a no name aftermarket pump fail because a piece of the plastic casing for the pump broke off and jammed itself into the gear causing the electric motor to seize.

If it's not AC Delco or Delphi, it's aftermarket, stay away
