Fuel Pump stays on Unless Battery Is disconected
Hey guys I recently Just had a friend of mine Put a new intake gasket on My 1998 S-10, I got it back today let it sit for a couple hours and it seem that my Fuel Pump is staying on even when the key is off. This wasnt happening when I let my friend fix it. I must disconnect the battery to keep it from draining...
I looke around the Site and it seems that it Could range from Oil pressure Switch, The fuel Pump relay.. Or somthing in my wireing.
Now as far as Testing each of these items How would you go about it?
Where exactly is the Fuel Pump realy on the 1998 And what does it look Like?
Where is the Oil Pressure switch?
Also to add i Notice That the Oil pressure gauge reads in the High spectrum 70 too 80 Psi is this normal or I should I start with the Oil Pressure Switch first as I believe its within the relay?
Any help would be appreciated, as Now i must disconnect my battery too and from work.
Thank you

Update as of Tonight------
Found the Fuel Pump relay, Changed with horn relay, Horn worked so I am guessing the relay is good... Now I found the Fuse that is for the Relay right next to it on the Fuse box, Once Fuse for relay is removed then the fuel pump turns off Car will not start with fuse removed...
I just called my buddy and he said he replaced the Oil Pressure sensor, Since it is realitivly hard to get too and since he was replacing the Intake gasket, I looked and the sensor is shiny and New....
Any Ideas, I'm debating whether i should just put a Cutoff switch on the battery But I would rather figure out what the hell is wrong with my Little transformer

If oil pressure sensor is reading high- 70-80- that is wrong-- especially if engine is off---
the sensor also switches the fuel pump on and off (in parallel to fuel pump relay)- so if it is stuck closed- there-in lies your problem-- unplug it- see if gage goes to zero- and if fuel pump shuts off--- if so- then have your buddy put the old sensor back in.....the one that worked....that he took out--because he thought it was a good idea.....

Ok I pulled the plug to the sensor and blam the fuel pump turns off while car is off, The reading on the oil guage Is NA becuase it goes way past 80 and resides at what looks like a stoping point. So it looks like the Sensor is at fualt stuck closed what Have you.
Fixed,
The New "OIL PRESSURE SENSOR" that he replaced was slightly different and caused the the gauge to read 40 psi when the car was in the off position. Which In effect caused the Computer to Cycle the Fuel pump and in the end Run the battery down when car didn't Have a key in it.
Solution Bought New "Oil Pressure Sensor" the right one. Removed the Distributor Using 10mm Bent wrench to the bolt on the passenger side of distributor. Make sure to mark The Rotor and Distributor position with block Itself. Also make sure too Label Plugs 1-6.remove wiring. Remove The distributor Should remove easily.
Removing Oil pressure sensor You need a Special deep socket. Pick one up from Autozone. Remove then replace with New sensor put wiring back on and reinstall distributor.
