Default Fuel signal issues

I'm having some issues with a 95 blazer hoping y'all can help. It's been sitting since 07. I began with a crank but no start and started with the fuel pump which was rusted to death and obviously bad. Cleaned tank and new fuel filter but still no start. Checked fuel pressure at manifold which a pretty steady 60#. I cracked open the intake to check the spider injector. I hooked up a noid light and I'm only getting injector pulse for about three seconds. Will only do that once unless you unhook battery. I read that the security could cause a similar situation but after a call to the best local locksmith they say it does not take a chip key so what else could be my problem. Thanks in advance

Welcome to the forum!

1995 was a transition year for this vehicle, and it could have one of two different computer control systems. Regardless of which system you have, the injector should continue to pulse as long as the starter is engaged. However, we need to know which system you have, due to the diagnostics being different for the two systems. Do the spark plug wires attach to the distributor cap horizontal, or vertical?

Thanks for the reply! The wires are hooked up horizontally. It has the computer under the hood with the obd2 port under the steering wheel. I know it had fuel issues when it was parked my uncle had worked on it but has passed so I have know idea what the original problem was. Also if it helps when the noid light was flashing it was very dim compared to hooking it straight to the battery

Your vehicle is equipped with Central Multiport Fuel Injection, (CMFI) and what we fondly refer to as OBD1.5 computer controls. It requires a scan tool with unique software to communicate with the system. Most auto parts stores will retrieve the DTC's for you, provided their scan tool has the correct software.

First step would be to retrieve the diagnostic trouble codes, (DTC's) and post them here.

Next step is check the fuel delivery system, this thread explains: https://blazerforum.com/forum/2nd-ge...eakdown-88305/ Post all 4 readings here and we can analyze them.
