When redoing idler a pitman I decided to put in a new gear box... Or a newer** how do. Know when the steering gear box is centered?! I'm asking this because I out everything back together and now the inner and outter tie rods on the passenger side have 2.5" of gap in between the sleeve while the diver side has NO gap. I'm confused please help. Thankyou

There are no markings that tell you, but it's as simple as figuring out the number of turns from steering lock right to steering lock left, go half way in between, and that's center. There is a flat spot on the steering gear input shaft the will point straight up, or straight down(depends on steering box).
