Default Getting a 1995 with a blown tranny, how to tell what blazer to pull the tranny from.

Hey guys im finally back in the blazer game, my 1993 got totaled from a lady that t boned me and since 6/20/2014 ive been blazerless. But i got a good deal for this 95 and the body is beautiful. I have the tools to replace the transmission but im not to sure how to determine years by just looking at a blazer. This 95 has the CPI 4.3 that reminds me of my CPI in my 93 if that helps. Im not sure if 1995 was the first year of the new body style and it being the last year they used CPI similar to my 93. Even though the tranny is shot it feels good to have a blazer again

Looks to me like i should be searching for a one piece transmission where the bell housing is cast with the whole transmission since the year after they went to a two piece transmission bell housing. And since 95 is the first year of the new body style it shouldn't be to hard to determine what year a blazer is as long as it has that one piece cast transmission case. The s10 pickup will probably be a little more difficult to decipher since their new body style started in 94 and it doesn't have two of the connectors that the 95 would have. Have to be careful with the pickup trucks but the blazers should be self explanatory. If I'm wrong someone please correct me but ill be starting my junkyard search on eather monday or tuesday. Wish me luck guys
