Not yet. Replacing shocks today and going to dig a little deeper while on the rack. The noise seems to have changed since the last inspection, only during braking now and not in turns. Applying park brake for slowing down doesn't make the noise so I'm leaning towards a bearing issue. Going to pull the axle today and see if I can find anything.

Okay, pulled axle and everything thing looked perfect. Changed bearing and seal anyway. No change, still sounds as if the pads have worn into the rotors. I'm really stumped now.

very strange indeed. At this point if it were me I would check to make sure there is no interference or debris up and around the drive shaft (I know, sounds crazy), the sound could be coming from a different direction?

Take it to Home depot or lowes, park way out in the outer lot and buy a couple cans of silicone spray and spray all the rubber components in the rear, like, leaf spring components, top and bottom of shocks, sway bar mounts, anything that has rubber or a bracket on it and see if that helps with the noise.

You said you suspected the sound was coming for the driver's side rear wheel area. It could be that it SOUNDS like that but the sound is actually coming from the passenger side rear wheel area. Have you tested the pass. side brake calipers, brake shield/backing plate, bearings, and so forth? While you are there, look at the caliper and make sure the cal. piston is moving freely and the two cal. pins are properly lubed and moving freely.

Lol
I would rather have that than everything else talked about on this thread.
Glad you figured it out, though.

Been there, done that - got the t shirt. It's got something to do with forests and trees, I dunno.

Glad it's fixed.
