Default Guage Light Out

I have a 2000 blazer zr2. the other day the light for the guages went out. the guages still work but no light. also the light that lights up the a/c ***** dont work either. they went out at the same time. Any ideas, replaced fuses but none were blown. any ideas or people having same issues would be helpful, maybe a link i dont know, kinda sucks driving at night. thanks

You likely have a problem with splice pack 205. This will be a terminal under the driver side dash where a lot of gray wires come into a connector with nothing going out the back side of the connector. The ILLUM fuse delivers power to the instrument cluster and the HVAC panel, but it also powers the back lighting for the headlight switch, radio, and a number of other lights. If those other things are working, it really only leaves the splice pack as being the source of the problem.

I just had this same issue with my son's 1995 Blazer 4X4 today. Oddly enough, at the same time the rear running lights and the rear wiper would not work as well. I found that the 20A fuse for the T/L CTSY in slot 3 of the fuse panel had blown. How this fuse relates to the dash lights, rear running lights and wiper motor I have no clue, but indeed it does.
