Hard cranking when cold
#1
I saw some other posts with hard cranking, but my case is a little bit different. When mine has a chance to cool off, I have to crank it for 30 to 45 seconds before it finally starts up. A continuous 30 to 45 seconds too! This is putting an unneeded amount of stress on my starter and I need to get this figured out. When the blaze is warm however, it starts right up. That's the weird problem. If you finally get it started up and drive it to the store. Leave it for 10 or 20 minutes and come back out to start it while it's still warm, it'll start up. The battery is brand new just got it replaced 2 days ago. The alternator and starter both check out as good. Btw, the fuel pump does turn on when you turn the key to the on position. So that's why I don't think it's the fuel pump.
What does this sound like to yall? I was thinking spark plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotors? Or maybe a fuel pressure issue? Fuel pressure regulator? Any ideas?

Just off the top of my head it sounds like you have a fuel bleed off situation. You need to check fuel pressure & a leak down test. I had a Jeep that was that way. It was a leaky fuel pump valve. Which was common on Jeep. I believe the injector spiders are the issue with Blazers & GM.
Try turning on & off the key a few times give it a few seconds in between that way you prime a couple of times & see if it starts easier. If so a fuel leak down.
