Hard start/Fuel filter question
Recently I have had a few instances where my blazer will not start after sitting for an hour or more. It acts like it wants to start but just dies out. I checked fuel pressure and I'm at 60psi.
My thought was possibly the fuel filter. I have never changed it and looks very old. My problem is I tried to remove it and the threaded end will not budge. I have sprayed it, put big wrenches on it (which is twisting the line) to no avail. Any ideas on how to go about this? Should I cut the line and use a compression fitting to re-install? Do you think I'm on the right track with the fuel filter?

Hey! I would definitely change out that filter! However, you need to use a line wrench on the fitting and a box wrench on the filter or you will twist the line! Soak the fitting with PB blast for a day or more if needed-it'll break free!
u have a fuel pressure regulator or more likley a injector leaking down. filters a good idea every 20k it extends the life on a gm pump or any other for that matter. if the nut wont turn, hold the nut and spin the filter off of the line instead. check o-ring if it got tore from doing this replace and put a film of grease on it so u can reinstall in the same way without damaging the new o-ring. to make filter easier to change take a hacksaw blade in a rag and cut 1 slot in the plastic band. this will let it turn and pull out alot easier but still retain the filter properly.
