Update -

Finally received the parts needed and a bit of warmer weather to do some work. Changed out 2-4-6 (passenger side) and 1,5 (drivers side) plugs and wires... also changed out the ignition coil.

(great prices on Amazon for a D577 AC Delco Coil by the way)

1, 2, 4, 5 and 6 plugs were pretty burnt.... obviously haven't been changed in a long time. Number 5 plug smelled like gas... obviously fouled and not firing... even after the cap and rotor change.

I hear what you're saying regarding the #3 plug, CH... but I am reluctant to pull the steering shaft. It looks like I may have a straight shot at the #3 plug above the steering shaft (as opposed to below shown in the video I posted), if I pull the drivers side front wheel... while jacked up.

I felt the retainer clips for the spark plug wires to be the biggest pain in the a**. Lost some skin on my fingers, knuckles and wrists trying to open those fu'kers. The 3,5 wire clip... and the 2,4 clip were the worst. Had to actually break the front of the clip(s) to get them open. Perhaps a combination of the cold weather and high mileage... dunno, but they were extremely brittle and stubborn. I'm thinking I'll zip-tie them... for now.

Next update hopefully coming soon... depending on weather :-)

Update:

The work is complete. Truck now runs like a champ. We did have to pull the steering shaft to get to plug #3. Wasn't much of a big deal. It was actually only one bolt compressing a clamp/coupler at the end of the steering shaft onto the steering gear. Found this video to be helpful.... not the greatest quality video.. but it was helpful... (skip to 1:00 in the video)

The person in the above video says to use a hammer to tap the Steering shaft clamp/coupler off the gear, but we used the pry-bar end from the lug wrench to slowly back the shaft off the gear.

Edit - Captain Hook, Feel free to add the word "Solved" to the title of this thread.

Thanks for all your help.
