Hi ive got a problem with my 95 blazer...its rounding 98000 miles and already had a whole list of problems but this is just another thing to add. The other day i was driving and noticed that the passenger side headlight went out. Then today i drove it and noticed that both were out. Despite this, i decided to flip on my high beams and those worked. Has anyone else encountered this kind of problem? If so, any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks.

 

It could just be both headlights are burnt out...

Especially if they're the factory lights.

 

I agree with drperry, it could be that both bulbs just went poof!!!

 

Check the fuses. There should be a low beam fuse. That would be the first thing that I would check.

 

thanks guys, swartlkk....if i were to begin to check my fuses where and what would i look for?

 

Start by popping off the cover on the end of the dash (I think that's where it's at on a '95) and have a look at the diagram on the inside of the cover. You should be able to find the appropriately marked fuse. Once you identify the proper fuse, pull it out and inspect it. There should be a piece of metal inside it that connects the two spade terminals. If it looks burnt, the fuse is bad. Some fuses can look good and still not conduct electricity properly so you may just want to replace it. They're cheap.

The next question you have to ask is why did the fuse blow if it is in fact blown, but check the fuse first.

 

fuse was fine, headlights were just burt out from being old. thanks for the help
