Hey Everyone,
Hoping I can get some light shed on my current situation:
Not even a month ago I had my Water pump, radiator, belt and thermostat replaced and when it was all replaced I had heat for a lil bit car has been fine but the past few days (colder weather) I have had no heat at all truck does not over heat or anything just blows cold...so before I go ahead and start going crazy ripping out my heater core- is there something else I should look out for??
Basically I am wondering if this sounds like the system was not properly flushed and could have air pockets in it or can it be my core??
*Edit* Just called a shop and they recommend a core flush and then a coolant flush- says it will run me $130 - Opinions??
Please help- with cold weather approaching and fast I need to get this fixed asap!

I doubt it's an air pocket. Even though it's not uncommon to get air pockets after you drain the coolant and refill, in my experience this usually created overheating (coolant wouldn't circulate through the radiator). If the coolant hadn't been changed for a awhile, it's possible some sludge broke free and clogged up the core. Try a core flush first.
