Default HELP! Blazer Is Ticking + Gutless

1999 4x4 Blazer.....
248km

JUST starting ticking tonight. It ticks as the rpms are raised, and lowered...and never stops.
It is gutless now....with very little power but still enough to get me around town.

Ive checked the oil and there are NO metal shavings in it. its coming from the right side (Driver Side) of the block....

Any help would be greatly appreciated because i have NO idea what could be the issue.

Thanks in advance to those who reply!

Well, ticking to me sounds like a collapsed lifter. I'd look at doing a compression test.

This morning i remote started the blazer....i could hear the ticking clearly from inside the house, after about 10mins of letting it sit and warm up it got MUCH quietter....to the point i couldnt hear it inside.

Got in it and drove it 5mins and ticking has gone completely and my power is restored...

going to flush out all old oil and put in some synthetic, with a stabilizer to help out the rockers.

Since it went away it probably was a lifter. I have had good luck with Rislone for sticking (varnished) lifters.
