Funny story i just bought this 98 blazer a few hours ago tested everything and now when i get home i turn it off and when i start it... It cranks really slow about a half crank then clicks constantly....jumped the truck now it starts up and theres no telling when it will happeb again...

Is it a simple battery issue or is it a starter or solenoid or somethibg else?

This is my first ever blazer and even though this bs happened i fell in love with it onthe drive home...

Ive been outside like 4-5times and its starts perfectly fine now for the last 4-5 times lol

Sounds like what i just had on mine. Turned out to be just the battery. Most autoparts stores will test your battery etc while still on the truck. Hope thats all it is for you.

I'm with bp. Check the battery cable connections at both ends. Corrosion can cause some weird things to happen.

battery or connections, though most times its the connections it just does one click, the slow cranking makes me think its the battery, i would do a load test on the battery then check to see what the alt is putting out. either way these are simple fixes, welcome to the blazer world!

I have seen fusible links go to where they would pass some current, but not what the battery was capable of delivering. You can test this theory with a mutlimeter connected to the main post on the starter and then comparing those values with what you find when connected to the positive post on the battery. If the voltage at the starter drops more during cranking than that found at the battery and the connections on both ends are good, the main wire is bad.
