Default Help me keep my baby going..please!!!

Alrighty. I am new here so I am seeking out some advice from the pros.
I currently have a 98 4dr, 4.3 Vortech, 4x4, auto tranny with 212,000 on it! I am getting around 16mpg and I want to keep er goin. My question is, where should I start?
I bought it with 129k on it, and havent really done anything to it other than hub bearings, breaks, and a fuel pump(dont want to relive that night). I want to change fluids and do general stuff, but am working on a limited budget.
Dont get me wrong, she has her problems. I have this wierd clicking sound that comes from the area right under the drivers door when I am driving. Hs done it since the day I got it. Any ideas. I was think u-joint for the t-case?
Also, I am getting ALOT of blow out fluid from the tranny dipstick..out of that little foam gasket thingy...???
It had computer problems, which I fixed, but my DRLs dont work..nto a big deal tho.
My main concern is keeping this running as long as I can. As far as I know, plugs are original, so are the wires and cap and rotor. I am going to flush coolant. Was going to change both front and rear difs, tranny filter and fluid change, and plugs, wires, cap and rotor..but I am not looking forward to the plugs!!!

At 93,000km I don't see my truck making 212,000km's let alone miles!

Doesn't sound like you've got a lot to worry about!

If the plugs etc have that many miles on them, change them manufactor says every 100,000 miles. I change mind at 50,000 miles, but then again I'm old fashion. At 212,000 miles your plugs ought to be nubs by now, its a wonder then even start your truck that goes along with the Cap, Rotor and plug wires.

You have the right idea... do a complete tune up (don't forget the fuel and air filters) and change all the fluids. I would change the tranny filter and fluid and then do a full fluid flush soon after. Although a little pricey, I have changed my blazer over to all synthetics.
With your kind of mileage I would place the tranny in gear with the parking brake on and crawl underneath. Grab the drive shafts and try moving them all around in order to check the u-joints.
