Default ignition coils keep going out

Hey guys, has anyone had new ignition coils keep going out? '97 4.3 blazer. Replaced 4 times with new coils, hour later, not working. Advance Auto puts the computer on the truck, and tells me what i already know, the coils out. no codes are stored. I guess it will turn out to be something simple, but it's driving me nuts already. Thanks guys.

Interesting.. try an AC Delco coil and i bet that solves your problem. These trucks don't like cheap brands, its not a Ford

Only other thought is a short, but if it works for a while then dies i would imagine its just cheap parts

i had a old truck with the HEI distributor set up, where the coil goes on top of it. anyways i kept frying ignition modules. kinda a different thing but after like 4-5 times i finally figured out that one of the wires on the coil was arching over to the ground cause it had a rip in it causing it to short out. maybe its something along those lines.
