how can i raise my gas pedal?

My gas pedal seems to have sunken into the floor its not as high up as it should be... can i tighten any wires or something to raise my gas pedal up more so when i give it gas it responds better?

Check the bracket that holds the cable housing under the hood. See if its loose or bent, check the cable and the end where it attaches to the throttle. If all that looks good you can remove the peddle assembly and check the piviot where it bolts to the floor. If the piviot is OK you can bend the rod back to remove the slack, try to bend it as close to the top of the piviot as you can. You may have to do it a couple of times to get it right, just don't go too far, it needs enough slack for your throttle to close. If you go way to much it'll become a Toyota, "Woah mule woah". Before you bend that rod, make sure nothing is worn anywhere, if not the rod may be weak. Good luck.
