Unless you see -4 or colder on a regular basis, you won't need anything more than the stock battery...
The thing about getting the higher CCA battery is that it will usually be the one with thehighest reserve capacity which can make a difference if you run any accessories without the engine running.

Got the truck back today has a 650cca in it.

Yeah, you should only be concerned if you get negative temperatures and if you're gonna deal with negative temperatures, also get an engine block heater. Cost is basically the same as a battery upgrade (up here at least). I had the stock battery for half of the winter last year and itwas good with the coldest temps in the single digits.

My truck comes with a 690CCA battery in it, thanks to AC Delco...

On a side note, taking off that annoying battery sleeve makes installation of the battery 10 times easier...

It feels and looks like it frees up 1/4 inch or so of space around the battery...

Mine is also 690 CCA and 825 CA. Everlast Maxx, Wallyworld.

I seem to be having problems with my Optima red top, doesn't seem to like lasting through a weekend. Apparently it has a 3 year warrenty so I shall try my luck at getting a replacement at Autozone.

yah mines a walmart 650cca its been in there for about 3yrs no issues yet,it cranks over fast in the winter and ive jumped off of it
