HVAC Actuator Replacement Questions

HVAC Actuator Replacement Questions
Hi Everyone. I am having vacuum issues with this truck with the A/C system and I believe it is the actuator that controls the dash vents. Basically what happens is that when the engine RPM is at highway speed, the airflow out of the dash vents drops even with the fan on MAX. Once I let the throttle go, it picks up again. Sometimes I get issues with the floor vents also, but not nearly as common. I already replaced the vacuum hoses, but I think it is the actuator now since it is the last thing (other than the control head). I am planning on replacing both the dash vent (red/blue hoses) and floor vent (yellow/brown hoses) actuators. Some questions:
1. If I can get the actuator out of a parted out truck, what do I need to know before buying it? Are they the same between auto and manual HVAC systems? Will one from a manual A/C system truck fit mine (auto A/C)?
2. What is the replacement procedure? If I find one in a parted out truck and buy it, how do I get it out of there without breaking it?
3. I think I may also have a blend actuator issue. When I turn the **** between max cold and 70, I hear 5 seconds of groaning but the rest of the travel is silent. Also the air is boiling at 70 all the way to max and below that it is cool. I have to have it on MAX for the A/C to be cold when it is hot out. I keep looking around for actuators and they are really expensive since I have the Auto A/C. Is there any way to check/repair the actuator without replacing it?
Thanks
