Default HVAC Switch in 2003 Blazer

"The HVAC system mode switch gets stuck in the vent position as oil gets into the control head as a result of a leaking vacuum switch on the transfer case and a redesigned switch is available to fix it."

How many of you have had this happen?

And if warranty didnt cover it how much was the repair?

1dealer said they have to take my dash out to fix this. Anybody have any info. Please help me.I dont want to get ripped off when I get it fixed.I didnt get a quote from any dealers yet.
