I Have a 2000 Blazer 4x4 and it is making a grinding noise

Default I Have a 2000 Blazer 4x4 and it is making a grinding noise
My 2000 Chevy Blazer 4x4 has recently started making a grinding noise while going down the road. I was going down the highway and I heard a pop and then a terrible grinding noise. I'm thinking it is the differential, but I am not sure. Any suggestions?

it could be the font drive shaft (they go bad at the joint area) or the transfer case (check and change the oil first)
