Ignition Cylinder stuck s10
Hey,
So after fixing up my electrical issues, my instrument panel would display the odometer/gears in the On position, but when turning the key to run, it would disappear, briefly reappear, then once the key spring back to the on as the S10 is running, the display is blank.
This is after replacing the ignition switch, where I assumed the cylinder may have an issue. I was able to remove the cylinder initially, and reinstalled it. Now it won't budge, tried forcing it, the plastic piece broke, and the cylinder won't even Jimmy free. It wiggles, the depression that you would stick a thin instrument through on top the housing to release the catch...nothing works.
I have one of two things going through my mind.
1. Remove the housing altogether.
or
2. Take a drill, drill the cylinder out, replace it with a new one.

It should also be known that the cylinder did turn counterclockwise about 1/2 a turn and will not move back, the key wont fit in, and the steering lock engaged.
